December Daily 2014 – Day 12

Hi there. I’m back here tonight catching up on the last few days of my December Daily. In the interest of actually catching up this post will be mostly pictures. If you have any questions by all means please do ask.

IMG_0067Back to including a transparency divider of the days here is one I created today. I have been wanting to try this technique for a while so this was the perfect excuse. IMG_0068The transparency has this gold lettering on it. (Once again this lettering is a digital file created by the wonderful Ali Edwards). You can buy this digital file at Designed Digitals and it came from last year’s December Daily Set. So what’s special about this? Well you can’t actually print a shiny gold colour using a printer. It just won’t sparkle. So what I did here was use my Silhouette to cut some gold vinyl and transferred (stuck) it onto the transparency. Pretty neat huh? I’m really happy with the result.IMG_0070Here is the page without the divider sitting on it. I realise this pink heart is super bright but I love being able to include it in this layout.IMG_0069Just a bit of something on the back of the transparency divider. IMG_0072This is the second page. In December our bedtime stories are exclusively Christmas one. We love it. All 5 of us. (hubby was taking this picture)

That’s it for Day 12.

Thanks for coming.

  1. Beautiful pages sweet. Love the divider. Might have to have a go at that. Looks amazing. Love the heart too. Thanks for sharing your awesomeness. xo

    • Thank you Tina! Do give it a go. It is surprisingly easy. Well, easier than I thought it would be 🙂

  2. Oh what a sweet boy! Love the divider also, bit above my current skill level but it’s on the list for 2015.

    • I know how could I not include the heart? As for your skill level that’s not at all true. This was easier than i thought.
When you are ready however, you know where to find me 🙂

    • Thank you Nat! Yes I’m pretty happy with how it turned out too. Thanks for leaving a comment.

  3. Love your work Petra. You have been a big inspiration to me! Merry Christmas and good health and happiness for 2015.

    • I am blessed with people like you not only stopping by but leaving beautiful comments.Thank you Christine.
Wishing you and yours a lovely Christmas and 2015 also.

    • I know right Beth! I kind of enjoyed bringing my circle cutters out! Loved that about last years DD designs. The circles I mean.
