December Daily 2014 – Day 17

comments 12

Hi and thanks of dropping by to see my day 17 of December Daily.

For documenting this day I had 2 challenges 1) I had a lot of photos, even after culling and 2) I really wanted to use the chipboard 6×8 page in the Ali Edwards December Daily kit with the wobbly holes in it.

I figured the best way to get started was to paint the chipboard. I used a Martha Stewart Acrylic paint in Satin. (A almost white), I’m pleased to say it dried pretty quickly so I was able to add more layers of paint fairly quickly.IMG_0255Then I added little photos (to try use up some of the many I had) and so one and so forth.IMG_0253This is how the page worked out in the end and right now I am calling it done.IMG_0256On the back I attached a 6×8 piece of paper from the Ali Edwards kit and journalled all the way across it. Note that as the paper is slightly smaller than the chipboard piece, I painted around the edges to kind of blend it in.

And that is it.

Till tomorrow

I like this very much. I am determined to use the holey chipboard. Just waiting for inspiration to strike…!

  2. I’m not of huge fan of wonky circles (it’s that they’re wonky, just doesn’t seem right – recovering perfectionist lol) But what you’ve done looks gorgeous mixing up with photos and embellies 🙂

    • Thanks Stacey. I’m still not sure it’s right you know but have reconciled myself with that and am marching forwards! 😉

  3. Love this! So simple and perfect. I haven’t used mine yet but am planning on it. Thanks for the ideas.
