DECEMBER DAILY, PROJECT LIFE

Day 7 here we come. This means I have done a layout a night for a week solid and I’m pretty happy with that. In case you are wondering what all this “December Daily” fuss is all about please check out Ali Edwards’s site all about this fabulous concept HERE. She is the creator of the December Daily concept and the kit I am using this year details HERE.

Day 7 for us was visiting santa day. We all look forward to this each year (but secretly I probably do a little more ).IMG_9670

Again a transparency divider with just a raw wood veneer 7 on it. IMG_9658

Main day 7 photo. This is not the official santa photo rather one Lincoln took from the sidelines. I love it so much more. In fact I think in my 2013 DD I also did not use the actual photo that we paid for on the day. LOL!IMG_9659

I am sure you have gathered by now that the photo is actually sideways in my album. IMG_9663

Here is my favourite page for today. I just love the picture. April off with with her own thoughts somewhere and you can just make out Santa in the background calling her over. Isn’t it magic? Yes once again courtesy of hubby. Side Note: I realise re-reading the text on this page now that it has what my high school English teacher (Hi Mr Lowes) would mark as a “ROS” or Run On Sentence. Oh well, lucky I didn’t become an English teacher 🙂 All good by me.IMG_9661

I cut the word “magic” using my Silhouette. It is once again an older Ali Edwards Brush that I purchased at Designer Digitals. Details HERE.IMG_9666Here is the other side of the magic page. Heart Santa cut using my Silhouette as above and I stuck it on a sweet transparency I had from a Studio Calico kit. IMG_9667

And the final page of my Day 7 layout. Yes probably too many photos again but this was a special one.

Until tomorrow

  1. I don’t think you can ever have too many photos of seeing Santa! Love this page also, they are all awesome.

    • Oh believe me there were more. I just “restrained” myself to 4! hahaha.
      Thanks Michelle. x

  2. oh it’s beautiful! I love so much about this. The gold cut word on the transparency, the beautiful photos, Santa really engaging with your kids… fantastic! 🙂

  4. You’re so lucky that hubby was able to sneak some shots. At our local, they run over as soon as they spot a camera out! But it doesn’t stop me from trying every year 🙂

    • Yes well last year they came over to hubby to question his photographing but he politely told them that a) they are his children and b) we were already paying for a photo from them too so they left him alone. This year the lady came over and asked if he wanted to get closer/into a better position hahah! I think it all depends on the people running it on the day. Good luck with yours. So worth it!

  5. Oh my goodness that photo of your babes with Santa is divine!!!!! Gorgeous page. I love how you are mixing it up with some days super simple and other days more involved. I’m doing that too out of necessity. Can’t wait for tomorrow. xxxx

    • Thanks Jodie. I feel a super simple one coming on today! LOL! Not much to talk about and it’s stinking hot and Very humid here at the moment so that does not help! haha
