Day 5 here and 20 to go!
4 pages in total for my Day 5 because this was the day we had out Santa photos done.
Those 2×2 folders are a real struggle for me. In the end I opted to cover the back of the one I used yesterday with a piece o pattern paper and a few embellies. Nothing too creative here so let’s just move along.
These little circles came from a 6×8 transparency that came in the Ali Edwards main kit. Some of you may be horrified to see that I cut the transparency up but I did and I am fine with that. I would not have used it as whole 6×8 piece anyway and I really, really wanted this word ‘santa’. I don’t have this in a stamp either physical or digital so this was the only way.
Another photo that was just punched and put into the album without a sleeve. As I do every year during Santa photos, I had hubby stand on the side line with our DSLR to try capture the real special shots. He did it again. (thanks honey). My son’s face glancing at his dad while cuddling up to Santa is precious and my favourite photo from the day. (I notice the quality here doesn’t look awesome as I only took my photos for the blog using my iPhone but in real life this photo is truly magical)
The word “wonderful” is an Amy Tangerine foam word that I had laying about. I thought it was perfect for this.
Here are the other two pages.
I love, love, love the bit after the kids have done the “official santa photo” where they get a few moments to have a chat. As much as I would love to be a fly on the wall to hear every word I’m grateful that and know it’s their special moment. The words “my reason why” I cut from gold paper using my silhouette. The actual words are a free digital file Ali Edwards shared last year during December Daily.
This page is just the back of the photograph with this cute 3×4 card and a little gold washi. I like how the Washi edge here matches the tag peeking our behind.
That’s all for day 5.
Thanks for coming to see my progress.
