Remember me? Ha. Its been exactly a year since I last posted anything to my blog and the reason I am back is because it’s may favourite time of year. December Daily time. Yep I’m doing it again and ‘hope’ to keep up the blog during this period.
So without any more blah blah blah here is the start of my 2016 album! Enjoy.
(Oh one more thing this year I am relying on the 2016 Ali Edwards December daily kit and bits and pieces from previous years’ kits that I have left over. I believe Ali’s main 2016 kit is now sold out but there are still beautiful mini kits available. It’s not too late to get into the spirit! I also use Ali’s digital overlays, templates and layered masks a fair bit and find they are always worth buying.)
Went super, SUPER simple with my title page this year. The Acrylic December is form Ali’s kit on a transparency and a simple striped paper behind it.
December 1 – Always, ALWAYS the day we put our tree up. It’s tradition. – The December Hopes was a free digital script Ali gave away on her blog recently (Thanks Ali). Straight away I used one of her Overlay’s for the “01 December” this is form the 6×8 series but you can get a combo pack of these in all sizes or just whatever size you prefer. After printing this 6×8 page I just stuck on a little tag that I cut in half and stamped 2016 on and a yellow star form the chipboard stickers that came from Ali with in the same set of chipboard stickers that I used on the spine of my album. You an see them here.Moving onto the next two pages (yes 4 pages for day 1. This won’t always be the case but I I find it hard to stop at one picture with the tree.) Again relying on some digitals and elements for the kit. This was a digital Layered Template purchased form here. I had to add this picture cause I love hubby putting up a decoration. Life has been hectic of late and I keep reminding him that we need to be more cheerful and start thinking about the season so this template was puuuurfect. (you see what I did there? if not scroll to the image above this.) I also stuck on a little glittery gold star amor leftovers I had from last year. It’s subtle but I love it.This is the final page for today. Yes a typical picture of us all hanging round our temporary tree. The “Hello Twinkle” is a beautiful gold foil card form Ali’s main kit that I just slipped into the pocket. And I used my printer for the type like writing on the journal card. Finally had the chance to use this little tree chipboard sticker from last years kit. Kept picking it up and putting it down last year but now I found a home for it.
OK that’s it for today.
Let’s see how we go with tomorrow.
