Hi and welcome to my week 2. I continued with my Midnight kit this week picking on my favourite colour Orange. Aaaah. I feel at home with Orange. I also went a little stamp happy and accented the orange with various Studio Calico stamps I have collected in the last 12 months or so. The little plant and “Hello Magic” being one of the sets. Now a little on my stamping. I am no expert. I pluck them straight out of the pack, onto an acrylic block and off I go. I don’t bother with priming or prepping the stamp in any way just stamp. Yup, that’s as complicated as it gets with me. This is the left side of the layout. So a point to note. See the journalling , printed kinda crooked on the third 3×4 card in? Yeah it’s crooked AND even more so, I am leaving it that way. REALLY? … Really. Why? Because I hate to waste the core cards. Even tho there are so many I hate the though of wasting them. Worse still, I had already stamped on the card too with the “quality time together”…. I thought of redoing it but I didn’t. The story is there and that’s all that matters right? Here is the right side. No crooked printing here but a lot of journalling. 🙂 Some more stamping too. “Makes me smile” and “This is us” plus “Here and now” I just repeated across the 6×4 card. It’s quite small and very simple but I like it that way. Really love this sweet little pic of the Mackenzie and her friend Kelsi giving each other a boost to make it up the pole. They took turns and called me over to see once one made it to the top. Love moments like these. The writing over the top is an Ali Edwards brush that I dropped the opacity of a fair way to make it loo transparent. Finally here is the full layout all in one. Nothing particularly new and exciting here on this layout but clean and done.
On a side note at the writing of this post I am up to date with 2014 and catching up 2013 (6 weeks to go). I have been away on a holiday of which I plan to also do a Mini album which I will share as I progress it.
Thanks For Dropping In
