DSC_0005*** Sandra gets a gold star for being the first to find my hideous spelling error!!*** (I did have a headache all day when doing this post .. is fixed now) Thank you Sandra ****

Hello there and thanks for coming by to look at my week 5. Back to the Becky Higgins Midnight core kit and in all a totally unfussy layout of what went on in this week.

DSC_0001Here is the left side. Like I said nothing fussy. I will mention that the word “week” on the title card I cut using my Silhouette Portrait. I did a tutorial video for Polkadot Creative  about how I did this right HERE. It is a very simple process (and just as possible on other die cut machines if you have one). I also used a rub on from the  Studio Calico Copper Mountain Project life kit for the “One day at a time”. I have recently  used a few good quality rub ons I am gaining a new love for these. Anyone else ?.. It’s just that some years back they were a little hit and miss in the quality department and this seems to be changing! Yay.
DSC_0009Some sad news this week of one of our Guinea Pigs coming to the end of her little life. It was a sad day for all of us and the kids first real experience with the big ‘D’ word. Gulp….

DSC_0010We finally tackled the disaster that we call our  garage …. DSC_0002Over to the right hand side of the week.

DSC_0007And another school year is under way. I thought it called for a larger photo of my three. Aaah look at those lovely shiny new shoes… I have to stop to enjoy them for a moment as it is very fleeting. As I look over at them now (only a few weeks on) they look like totally different. Especially my sons!DSC_0008

I included an instagram picture that hubby took of me having a go of their Nitro cars. It was a lot of fun and I didn’t really notice him taking this picture until I spotted it on the instagram feed!Week5Finally here is a picture of the entire layout as it appear in my album. Now to do some serious catch up with the next few weeks!

Thanks For Dropping In

Petra x

  1. Love the week cut! All fabulous as usual. Is it possible you are getting more fabulous?

  2. Love your style! Quick question…and I’m sure you’ve been asked this a dozen times before…do you get your 3×4 pics printed with the rounded white border or do you mount your pics on white card stock?

      • Thanks Petra. I’ve put borders on my pics but they always seem to get cut off when I get them printed at BigW. Maybe home printing is the way to go!
