Project Life 2014 – Week 7

DSC_0073Hi. I am trying to catch up and rather than wait around for perfect lighting conditions to photograph and share my week 7 with you all, I thought I’d do this quick post with a few pictures. This week I went away from the Midnight kit again and used bits of both the Sugar Rush and Copper Mountain Project life kits by Studio Calico. This was Valentines day week so I loved using love hearts here, there and everywhere in my layout.

IMG_1595Here is the left side of the layout Capturing all things “Valentines” in this house.

IMG_1601I particularly love this late afternoon photo of April practicing the Clarinet. The way the afternoon sun came though the blinds made an awesome shadow pattern and as much as I adore this picture I cannot take credit. Hubby took this one and I am so glad he did. DSC_0071A secret little flip pocket is included this week under which is a hidden card that came with my roses hubby sent me and a little bit of journalling about us. No I won’t share that much detail with you this time. Some things are best kept at home. 🙂IMG_1596Right side is here. More hearts and other bits from the week. I really didn’t feel like doing a “week round-up” card this week so I didn’t. Instead I just made a little filler card seen here in the bottom right.DSC_0077I love this little heart 3×4 filler card from the Studio Calico kit and thought making just one of the hearts on it dimensional was a cute little touch to give it a little extra love. IMG_1605Finally I could not resist this picture of Lincoln (my hubby)  on his BMX. Some boys never grow up and I would not have mine any other way! Week7Hope you enjoyed my little week 7 catch up & are having a lovely week.

Thanks For Dropping in

  1. Hi Petra. I recently discovered and listened to your rountable talk with Jess, Kelly and Noelle today. Being an Aussie, I wanted to find your website and stop by to say hello. I am doing PL for the first time this year too. I did the Studio Calico 25 days for Christmas 2013 and loved it so much I wanted to continue. Still trying to find my ‘style’ I have throughly enjoyed hearing how you go about PL and seeing your pictures today. Like you I have young kids and work full time and so I take a ton of pictures, mostly of my family. Keep up the good work!
