It’s neat and clean, it’s week eighteen!
This is the beginning of May. Traditionally a big month here because it covers 2 birthdays (mine, a major one this year, and my sons), Mothers Day and we squeezed in a quick hospital procedure in there too! This week, among the usual suspects like the Becky Higgins Seafoam Kit, I concentrated on some local talent for my embellishments in the form the May Mini Kit form Polkadot Creative put together by the sweet Jodie & plenty of stamps designed and sold by the lovely Kellie from Give a Girl A…. Both amazing talents and both Aussies.
So, the Left side of this week layout is here. On the week card the little calendar stamped card, washi and vellum arrow are from Polkadot Creative mini kit as are the Studio Calico alphas on the top left and bottom right photos. The Give a Girl a… stamps here are both the “#insta moment” on the little wood veneer. I am really enjoying stamping onto the veneers. Makes them unique and Kellies stamps stamp beautifully and cleanly onto them. “This Happened Today” is also her stamp and I stamped that direct onto the photo using StayzOn ink. You can see I still love my wood veneers from Studio Calico. In particular the little Aplhas.
This is the right side and arguably the one that has more “going on”. There is a flip pocket on the top left more of Kellies stamps scattered on this side of the layout and I continued with the Becky Higgins Seafoam kit and Polkadot creative mini kit.
Here is a close up of the inside of the flip pocket. I took a lot of photos with my phone on the day and thought this would be a nice way to document how it all came together. This was all done in Photoshop Elements and them printed in the usual 6×4 format.
This gorgeous “Love” tag was hand stitched by Jodie form Polkadot Creative. That’s right it was all done for me I just ahd to ad the tag in and stick on the little veneer and again, yep you guessed it, used one of the Give a Girl a stamps on a veneer to finsh the filler card.
I always like to keep the hospital ID bands so without making it too complicated I used a Studio Calico stitched pocket to just slip it in and stuck on some lettering. These little pockets are perfect because they fit perfectly in the 3×4 pockets.
Finally here is the full layout side by side. I really enjoyed getting this week done and dressing it up just a little. Hope you did too.
Thanks For Dropping In
