Week 24

comments 11

D8E_1042Week twenty four was a bit of fun in the making.I still stuck to the Becky Higgins Seafoam kit but isolated the black and white cards. I was also very lucky when putting this week together because I was asked by Studio Calico to preview and guest Instagram their June Add On Project Life stamp. This stamp is really lovely and I used it quite a lot in this week including the “never forget” on, you guessed it, cork and the date stamp on this title card. The circular date stamp was stamped onto white paper and then punched out using a circular punch.

PetraCorcoran_July_LHSSo the left side of my layout is here. Other than cork I am also enjoying transparencies at the moment. I think they give suh crisp and super sharp black images that really pop. You can see it on the little cloud on the bottom right on this layout and of course on the Camera image on the filler card I created using a bit of ink and the transparency. The Studio Calico Project Life stamp on this page is also the “yes” on the cup of tea, the “Let’s eat” both stamped directly onto the photo using Stayzon ink and …

D8E_1040-2on this gorgeous bit of cork which I also punched using a circular punch.

The “you are absolutely amazing” stamped on cork in the top left is from a stamp set by Give A Girl A… I mentioned Kellie and her stamps as well as her generous offer of a discount to my readers on my previous blog post found HERE.

PetraCorcoran_July_RHSOver to the right side of this week layout. More stamps, more cork, more transparencies and more black and white.

My favourite part of this page is this quote insert also using the Stamp Add On. (which by the way yo can view and buy HERE). To be totally honest I am not a huge stamper by any stretch but I did enjoy it a lot this week and got plenty of use from the one stamp set which I think is a real bonus. I can see myself using this stamp set over and over again. Even the calendar is so, so versatile.

PetraCorcoran July_FullViewFinally here is the weeks layout altogether. I was really concerned with sticking with the Black and white at first but it actually turned out to be really easy and no struggle at all. And I sure had plenty of fun along the way.

Thanks For Dropping In

  1. This is absolutely amazing Petra. You have such a way with embellishments that you still use a fair amount but your pages never seem cluttered or un-readable. Inspiration as always.

    • Hi Kellie,
Thanks. I always conscious about making it too lumpy bumpy 🙂
      Thanks For Dropping In

    • Hi Karen,
Thank you for leaving such a lovely comment. It means a lot.
      Thanks For Dropping in

  2. Your pages are inspiring. I think the B&W is helped by your white borders on the photos. They really look great together. Love the stamps too.

    • Hi,
Thank you. I really did enjoy the B&W experience. It’s amazing how much you can do with it once you get stuck into it.
      Thank For Dropping In

  3. Looks great. Love that new PL stamp. Where is Let’s Eat stamp from?
Where do you buy that cork?
I love the way you explain how you do things.
Is the word Yum printed on the photo and did you print at home.
    Sorry 20 million questions

    • Hi Charlene,
Unfortunately the stamp set I used was part of June Studio Calico add on and is now sold out. Sorry. (the “Let’s Eat” is off that same stamp set)
Cork is easy to get now. Most scrapbook places have it in one form or another. The one I used here is DCWV brand and iI bought it in Papertrenz in Wynnum. (They also have an online store)
The word “YUM” is actually stuck on using Heidi Swapp Alphas. The packet just says “Black & White: Letters”
I actually like when people have lots of questions so no need to be sorry at all.
One day I may start a “list of products used” bit for now I’m happy to just answer direct.
      Thanks For Dropping In

      • Oh what a shame about the ‘let’s eat stamp’. Do you think I could ask the group if anyone has one they want to sell?

Oh thanks for the info about the cork. I’ve asked the same thing on another week, because I thought my questions had disappeared….wrong week I was looking at.

        • I’m sure you could try to see if anyone has one to sell. It was part of the July Stamp Only Project Life add on Kit.
It has a whole host of other cool Project Life related stamps on it too.
          Thanks For Dropping In
