Week 25

PROJECT LIFE

DSC_0002Here we are at week 25. It’s been a long time between blog posts but work “work” has taken priority over my nightime hours for  a while…. On with the show. We went away at the end of this week so there was a lot of photos but I am pleased to say I managed to narrow them down to  a 2 page spread. (for this week anyway)  So without further ado let’s have a look shall we?

week 25 LHSThis is the left side of the layout. My second to last week of the Seafoam kit from Becky Higgins (I think I’ll miss it) a few decoratiove bits from Studio Calico and hey presto the page is done. Well almost as always there are some digital elements including my little Instagram template which I shared with you a while ago and you can download it HERE. The base of the week card is from the Becky Higgins bassil packs I bought as i always find them very handy to make things co-ordinate.

DSC_0004A close up of this little 6×4 card. I put a Distress transparency over the type in this picture and some Liliy Bee designs alphas to finish it off.

Week25 RHS_1Over to the right side of the layout. I got my poor neglected Cricut out this week and started playing around with making some cuts to include in my project life. I came up with a little 3×4 mat using the Cricut Craft Room and  I also had a lot of “offcuts” too (the word LOVE) which I enjoyed using randomly in the weeks spread. This page includes a flip up which you can’t really see at the moment and point and case why I like to use a tab on any flip up’s and inserts. (note to self:  must remember to put a tab on this page…. )

DSC_0005You can see a closeup of the little Cricut made 3×4 mat here. It’s a little squashed in there and I know for next time to make the size a tad smaller but really I am not a perfectionist so I’m happy to leave it like this for now.

DSC_0006Here is the flip up you could not see on the main page. It’s on the top left corner of the page.

Week25And last but not least here is the full spread as it sits in my album.

I try not to make my pages too complicated but by all means please let me know if you have any questions.

That’s it from me for now. More posts coming again soon.

Thanks For Dropping In

Petra

  1. I always love checking out your week. And I love this one! You have such a way with using bits of this and that, but it never looks too much, always perfect!

    • Hi Kellie,
Yes this and that indeed! Thanks for your lovely comment. It means a lot.

  2. Looks great….I must have a go at that Cricut Craft Room, I don’t know where you find the time!

    • Thanks Charlene,
Trust me none of anything I do is particularly labour intensive. 🙂

  3. That overlay looks so superb! I’ve seen them in the stores and thought they would be much darker, but it looks so cute over the white background, the text is showing through beautifully. I may have to invest 🙂
Where are your little wood veneers from? (Where you’ve written ‘WAITING’ at the airport)
And on your week card – those lines… are they a stamp?

    • Hi Sandra,
Yes I am rather keen on the little transparencies 🙂
The “WAITING” and the little geotag are both Studio Calico veneers that come as individual letters and you can spell anything you want.
The week card lines are in fact a transparency overlay. (the documented is part of the same transparency)
They’re by Webster’s Pages and come in a 12×12 sheet that has 3×4 blocks of pattern on it.
      Thanks For Dropping In
      Petra
