Week 33 + My First Blog Giveaway!

PROJECT LIFE

DSC_0112Hello friends and welcome back to my blog and to my week 33 of Project Life. This week concentrating on the Orange in the Becky  Higgins Jade kit and with a few flip pockets. So, time for me to stop rabbiting on and show you what I did.

DSC_0121Starting quite simply with the Left hand side. Quite a bit of journalling on this page overall. Probably more than I do most weeks on the Left. There are also a couple of faces rubbed out because I have not asked the children’s mother to post their pictures publicly. Always better to be safe than sorry.

DSC_0111I made this simple little insert. The word ‘Love’ I cut out using my Cricut machine and my now favourite CTMH Artbooking Cartridge. (There’s a crazy amount of images to cut on this cartridge and if you have a Cricut I highly recommend it as lots of it is very good for Project life – also comes with matching stamps and other stuff). I then stuck the cut out onto a Jade Kit filler card, stuck on some enamels and viola. Clean and simple and I also love the organic (or hand drawn) feel of the orange chevron pattern on the card.

DSC_0122Right over to the right side here and on closer inspection you will find a few flip up pockets on this page.

Firstly I have this tiny 2″ x 2″ Flip Flap that holds a little medallion my kids received in the billy cart race. It’s the perfect size and the pocket just sticks on.

DSC_0116These various stick on pockets also form CTMH and can be viewed / found HERE. (Otherwise contact me as I have a few packs in stock and will happily organise to send you some)

This next Flip pocket is my favourite. It’s a 3″x4″ that flips up. On one side I have used a print out of an Ali Edwards brush I purchased. (From here to there).

DSC_0119When you flip it up there is some journalling and a picture underneath. This would also work really well if you had something you wanted to keep a bit more personal or sad and wanted to hide the journalling for it to “be found”.

DSC_0124And that’s it! This is a bit of a sideways shot of the layout.
