Week 35

PROJECT LIFE

DSC_0020Welcome to my week thirty five. My yummy steel dies had arrived so it was time to play. Yep you’ll see almost all of them in this weeks layout and I am sure will quickly realise why I think they are just super. I actually used the Becky Higgins Jade Kit co-ordinating paper instead of the cards in the card kit. Not sure why. It just happened that way. Still Jade so I’m happy.

DSC_0005Here is the left side. This was a fairly straight forward week for us right up until the end where it was Fathers day so  an envelope page was needed for all the little cards and goodies the kids made. You’ll note on this page the white swirly words. These are all die cuts using steel dies and my Cuttlebug.  Some are by Ali Edwards and purchased though Technique Tuesday and some from Simon Says Stamp.

DSC_0021Here is a little close up. They are so delicate but really nice and easy to use.

DSC_0006Skipping over to the right hand side. More die cute, some ever-present veneers and I tried to stay with the speech bubble theme.

DSC_0024I really like the way this little insert came out where I used a mix of veneer letter styles for the “Words”

Here, I simply wrote a couple of quotes from the kids on the veneer speech bubbles for this little insert card. It was Fathers Day of course.

DSC_0029More Die cuts here.

DSC_0010And a lovely little 6×12 Envelope pocket page to keep all the little Fathers Day treasures in. No dressing up or labelling necessary. Just pop them in and I think they speak for themselves 🙂

Week 35Finally the whole week looks like this. Short and sweet.

Thanks For Dropping In

  1. Fabulous week Petra, the dies look great. The whole layout looks amazing. Love love love love.

  2. love your words Petra …awesome diecut words, journaling and those wood veneers …I am totally flabbergasted that you have so many different wood veneer fonts to choose from …says me with a little envy (I’m still trying to use up all of the original Tweets…they are never-ending)

    • Hi Leanne,
Yes “it started with a tweet” hahaha! And now I have so many it’s crazy (and I still have plenty of tweets)

      Thanks For Dropping In

  3. Gorgeous as always Petra. Love the little speech bubble wooden veneers and how you hand wrote on them, must try this with mine; wasn’t quite show how I was going to use them but this looks great! 🙂

This is one of my favourite weeks – not just because I love how you used that patterned paper (when I looked at it and thought “not for me”), but because every little pocket and story oozes love. This is a really special spread – great job!

    • Hi Sandra,
Thanks for such a truly wonderful comment. And you may even recognise one or 2 faces.
Sometimes even a bad/ blurry photo is better than none. x

      Thanks For Dropping In
      Petra
