Week 40

DSC_0112Hi and welcome along to my week 40 Project Life layout. This was a great week for us and I actually like that there is a lot of white in this weeks layout. You would not know this is from the Becky Higgins Jade core kit! I have also used a few flip pockets and a nice panorama photo that I took using my iPhone Panaorama feature. Let’s get on with the show.

DSC_0073Starting with he left side here. I decided to sprinkle the Tim Holtz ChitChat stickers  all over this weeks layout because I like that natural kraft type paper combined with the black and whites. I also put in my Blood Donor recognition badge into my project life. It’s  These little things that tend to get lost in piles of miscellaneous ‘stuff’ around the house but if they are small enough I usually put them into a little pile in my craft room and add them into my layouts.

DSC_0075Here is the right and more exciting part of the layout.  The highlight being our day trip to Stradbroke island. We had so much fun and it was awesome to get away even if just for the day. I am so grateful for days like these. Here is a close up of the panorama using my iPhone mentioned earlier. Loved using some wood veneers again. I ahve wanted to use these little flowers for a long time and finally I found a fitting place.DSC_0114

But, what you can’t see when you look at the page  is this…
DSC_0126the little flip pockets I put in. These are 6×4 Close To My Heart ones. They have a plastic strip that you just peel and stick on.  When you open this panorama photo up…DSC_0119you reveal almost a little book that has some more of my favourite photos form the day.DSC_0127

and another perspective DSC_0128I’m really happy with how it all turned out
DSC_0118And that’s about it for now. I love coming up with new ways to use flip pockets. If you are interested in these pls get in touch via email on petracorcoran@gmail.com as I have a few packs in stock to sell.

Just a few more shots of the week here. DSC_0078DSC_0117

Finally the complete layout here

PetraCorcoran_Nov2013_FullHope you enjoyed this layout. As always, let me know if you have any questions or comments.

Thanks For Dropping In

  1. You are selling me more and more on the flip pockets Petra! I love how you use them, it’s like a little surprise, love it and as always your pages are amazing and full of inspiration. Photos are amazing!

    • Thanks Kellie. Yup you can’t go wrong with them. A bit of interactivity and fun if you have extra pics.
      Thanks For Dropping In

    • Hi Michelle,
Thank you it’s my favourite part also!
      Thanks For Dropping In

  2. Just super gorgeous hun. Love the flip pages and the photos. But I’m always sold on blues and beaches. Love love love.

    • I know. Something magical about those colours Tina. I agree 100%!
      Thanks for your lovely comment
      Thanks For Dropping In

  3. Love love your work…I look forward to seeing your pages unfold each week Petra. Still a PL newbie but getting there. I am a fan of your video tutorials and have learnt so much from you. Keep up your great work.

    • HI,
Thank you Christine. I really must do another video or two.
Hope you are enjoying your Project Life journey.
      Thanks For Dropping In

  4. Hi Petra

Love the panorama and the flip pockets you also have such gorgeous photos underneath. You are inspiring me to try my panorama on my phone.

That sure is very tight journalling on one of those cards!

I started my new job today and I took a quick photo of our building hoping I didn’t look like a dork! I don’t think I’m allowed to do inside photos, but will do one of my new coffee shop I’ll be frequenting. I’m hoping to PL.

    • It’s not journalling Charlene. It’s a pre printed card from the Jade core kit.
Congrats on the new job front. Change is as good as a holiday!

  5. Sandra Bunch

Love the white colour choice. And I’ve just been thinking of doing a little “book” with the flip pockets and here you are with them too. Great minds think alike hahaha

  6. GOsh, I love the panorama photo! I just got my new iphone and I am looking forward to taking a few on our next holiday. Using the flip flaps under the panorama photo is also a great idea. Might be stealing that idea if you don’t mind 🙂 Also, I just have to say, I LOVE the tongue in the ‘drawing an elephant’ picture. Gorgeous!

    • Hi Leanne,
Oh thank you for all your lovely compliments. Yes the panorama is awesome (when you remember to use it!!) Steal away my friend I’d be flattered.
As for the tongue in the picture yes it cracks me up. Years ago I did a layout (traditional .. gasp) called “That cheeky tongue” and it was all shot of him even younger doing stuff with the tongue poking out!
      Thanks For Dropping In
