Zippidy Doooo it’s week Fifty Twoooo!
Well I made it. I got to the end of the year. Yes I’m a few weeks behind in 2013 but that’s ok as I know I can easily catch up.
Week 52 was a big one, Christmas, New Years and the start of our big road trip so of course there had to be an insert. So let’s have a looksee at the pages.

Starting on the left this page has another example of printing on the Becky Higgins core kit 3×4′s (This is form the Becky Higgins Cobolt Edition) and my how to on printing onto the cards can be found here. My Week card is made using mostly a mini kit I bought from Polkadot Creative. This is Jodie’s minikit #10 and I really love the way it is Christmassy but not in obvious & traditional colours. I use it some more further down.

This is the Right side. More Cobalt edition both physical and digital. I love mixing things up. Otherwise it’s pretty straight forward really. Now for the insert.
For this insert I wanted to use mostly 6×4′s so the Becky Higgins Design C was ideal. All I did was fold it in half. I find if I run my finger nails a few times along the fold it stays fairly flat and flush. (Don’t need to mention that the weight of the rest of the album will finish the job right?). At the top I made a little title card for the insert. I thought since it was for Christmas day it had to be a bit more special. Again using Jodie’s mini kit and the gorgeous confetti pocket she made. The picture in the middle of the tree looks a little messy but it’s deliberate and printed on the card stock once more.

Here is a close up of how the insert works. It flips out like opening a book backwards. Again I used a co-ordinating tab I made using some Cobolt cardstock. These two “faux instax” images were made in Photoshop Elements and the template was actually made by a friend on the Australian Project Life FB page Christine C. Thanks Christine! They worked a treat. I just cut them out and mounted onto paper. Christine has kindly offered to share the file. You can download it here.
A little closeup of the confetti pocket title card. Jodie made the little tag too. Isn’t it so sweet?
This is what the insert looks like folded out. Yes it’s all about Christmas day. I love Christmas day photos and take many.
Last but not least, below is the flip side of the insert when it is closed.
And that’s it. 52 weeks, 365 days. D-O-N-E!
Thanks For Dropping In
Petra
