Week In The Life Project – Monday 27th

I have decided to embark on a new kind of Project Life like project for a moment called A Week In The Life. This is a concept created by the wonderful Ali Edwards and much like December Daily, which I completed last year, it includes a kit and a tonne of inspiration and motivation. You can view and purchase it here.

I love this project because it’s like Project Life but on a micro scale. It challenges you to look really closely at your daily life for a week and to document it, god, bad, happy sad, mundane and more importantly to me it helps capture the “un-noticed” the things you generally don’t notice and think perhaps are not worth documenting. Ali has a lot more on the project on her blog here.

While I wait for my kit to arrive in the mail, I thought I would share with you a few of the photos I have captured in the first two days.  Some of the pictures were taken by my hubby who is on board with WITL.

Exactly 100 photos were taken on Monday. Here are just a few. (the top image is our fruit bowl at the beginning of the week, It will look very different by the end I assure you)

6am – Wake up time for my kiddos. I always make sure there are lots of smiles, cuddles and tickles for my kids at wake up. I want Waking up to be a positive experience where they are greeted by a happy mummy as I hope it sets them up for a good day. untitled (1 of 1)-23

7am – OSHC drop off. This is usually a pretty rushed affair but almost every day of the week done by Lincoln & I together. Equally with the pick up at the end of the day. untitled (1 of 1)-248.15am – A serious traffic jam due to an accident on the Motorway. Never noticed this sign before. untitled (1 of 1)-258.30am – This image is cliche for sure but I REALLY look forward to these on a Monday (Ok every day) I hold out to have my first coffee of the day util I get into the office.untitled (1 of 1)-28

11am – Pretty much my entire day is spent much like this. Aside from the many many meetings I attend. Look at that view! You’d think I’d stop and look out the window once in a while. untitled (1 of 1)-27

This photo is courtesy of Lincoln. I rarely visit his office. Never really. But have learned this week though this photo that we both have a messy busy desk! untitled (1 of 1)-29

4.30pm – School Pickup. Change of clothes and shoes at work as we will be racing off to Yoga.untitled (1 of 1)-305pm – Another one thanks to Lincoln. A hail storm blew though through and these two loved sitting in the garage watching it come down. It was a really humid and steamy day. No shirt required.

While I wait for my Week In The Life kit to arrive I am organising my photos and documentation like this. A Envelope with a planner page (also available for download from Ali’s website) attached to the front. I can put photos and memorabilia in the envelopes and the details and stories are pinned to the front.untitled (1 of 1)-26Until tomorrow!
