So, my Ali Edwards Week In The Life kit has still not arrived so I’m sharing photos of Tuesday. This was another very long day for us and it was difficult to stay on task and keep snapping away simply because there was so much other stuff that required my attention. None the less in all 90 photos on my various devices and here are a select few.
5.00am – This lamp is like a spotlight (even with a low wattage globe in it) yet somehow, he manages to sleep soundly with it on. Most nights I get up at least once to turn it off.6.30am – Breakfast. Surely a smoothie packed with Acai, Chia, blueberries, LSA and Banana should pack enough punch to get me though this day. Vegemite on toast for my son. It’s still his favourite.9.30 am – A sneaky shot in my boss’ office while having a meeting with him. Coffee. CHECK.4pm – Boy was she happy to be at this weekday afternoon birthday party. 5pm – The rest of us stayed at home to clean in preparation for tomorrow’s inspection. Once they got stuck into it they did a really great job and really helped me out. I am truly grateful for that. Sometimes it takes a while but eventually they kick into gear and pitch in. 6.30pm – Dinner which included this green mango salad with chills (without for the kids). It’s something new to most of the members of this family but it was a hit. I really enjoy trying out new food and different recipes. Next I am on the hunt for a Green Papaya to make a salad with.10.30pm – A night of working late for us both. It got me thinking that my kids never see this happen as they sleep blissfully in their beds. Sometimes you just have to push through and get things done no matter how late.11.30pm – He received a work phone call. Yes, others are still working too. 11.45pm – There are 2 things that got us though this night other than the will to finish. Ever-present Coke Zero in this house and ..Tunes. We love pumping tunes though this speaker. It drowns out the keyboard taps and heavy sighs. (This picture was actually taken at 12.15am but I’m counting it in for Tuesday.
A long sleep on Tuesday night is now a distant dream.
